Kelli Sae, also known as "The Godmother of SOBO Magazine," is set to return with a new album which is bound to be well worth the wait. The last time we got a Kelli Sae joint was 2003's Heroine with the hits "Latina" and her soul-stirring rendition of the Aretha Franklin classic, "Daydreaming." Since then, she has toured the world as part of the Amadeus Award-winning band Count Basic as well as loaned her talents to the likes of Albin Janoska and Seikou Nagaoka. When someone like ?uestlove of the legendary Roots gives you a shout-out and says that you are one to watch for 2009. in the words of the great Bernie Mac "You know you SOMEBODY!" The mighty collective featuring Saavi, Equality, Ldavoice, Scottie Spitten, E. Classic, King Midas, Soul One, and DJ Flash Gordon Parks are blazing their path in today's music scene as H.I.S.D. (Hueston Independent Spit District) and they are a force to be reckoned with. SOBO Magazine had a chance to catch up to these guys and see what makes them do what they do best.
